## Description

Sociaal Natuurbeheer is a Dutch social nature-management initiative led by Luuk and Arjen. It works to help preserve and strengthen nature by supporting balance between animals, people, and the environment. The team uses rooting and grazing animals, including pigs, to control invasive species such as Japanese knotweed. This approach aims to create opportunities for native nature to recover and to promote biodiversity in urban environments.

Community participation is central to the initiative. Local volunteers help care for the animals, making the projects hands-on and educational while encouraging stronger neighborhood connections and helping counter loneliness. Sociaal Natuurbeheer emphasizes caring for its animals and improving the balance between nature and wildlife.

The team invites interested individuals and communities to get in touch to learn about its methods and what its animals can contribute. It discusses its work by email, messaging, or telephone. Based in Zwaanshoek in the Netherlands, Sociaal Natuurbeheer also presents its activities through media coverage and a photo gallery.
