## Description

The Società Chimica Italiana (Italian Chemical Society) is a national network dedicated to promoting the study, advancement, and applications of chemistry. Founded in 1909, it supports research, education, and scientific culture, connecting academics, researchers, teachers, students, and chemistry professionals across Italy. Its activities are organized through regional sections, scientific divisions, and interdisciplinary groups, which encourage collaboration among members and partnerships with universities, research centers, schools, and businesses.

The Society offers members opportunities to take part in research and education projects, access scholarships, develop professional skills, and connect with colleagues. It also provides training, conferences, congresses, and other events, alongside initiatives for schools and young people. Chemistry Games introduce the subject to primary, lower-secondary, and upper-secondary students, while SCI Giovani supports members under 35 through training, networking, and career development. SCI Senior promotes the contributions of experienced members and supports younger generations. The Society also publishes chemistry-focused resources and journals for educators, professionals, researchers, and the wider community, helping share knowledge across the discipline.
