## Description

Softcover is a vibrant specialty shop located in the heart of Vienna, Austria, dedicated to celebrating independent publishing. Officially opened in December 2023, and launching its online shop in May 2024, Softcover curates a unique selection of photo books, art books, indie magazines, and zines, becoming the first establishment in Vienna to focus exclusively on these genres. Founded by designer and photographer Sebastian Gansrigler, Softcover emerged from a deep passion for independent publishing established through various projects and events from 2018 to 2023.

At Softcover, quality takes precedence over quantity, offering a carefully selected range of stunning publications from renowned artists and publishers, alongside an array of merchandise such as postcards, tote bags, and posters. The shop fosters community engagement through diverse events, including artist talks, book presentations, and workshops, aimed at promoting dialogue within the indie publishing scene. Whether you’re a book lover or an artist, Softcover is a creative hub inviting collaboration and passion for printed matter. Visit us at Stumpergasse 53-55, Wednesday to Saturday from 12:00 to 18:00.
