**Soils for Science** is an innovative citizen science program launched by the Institute for Molecular Bioscience at the University of Queensland. This groundbreaking initiative aims to combat the rising threat of antibiotic-resistant infections, commonly known as superbugs, by harnessing Australia’s rich biodiversity. More than half of today's antibiotics are derived from microbes found in nature, and Australia's unique ecosystems provide an untapped resource for discovering new life-saving medicines.
