## Description

The Shock Cooperative is a renowned art and activist phenomenon that has greatly influenced Serbian art practice during the post-Yugoslavia war and post-war period. Originally known as Led Art (1993-2001), the Multimedial Centre Led Art (MMC Led Art) has been transformed into The Shock Cooperative. Its program is currently being carried out in three gallery spaces in Novi Sad: the Central Gallery, Shock Corridor, and Shock Bulevar, with occasional activities in Shock Partizan and Shock ŠOSO. The Shock Cooperative challenges established institutional and disciplinary frameworks, creating unconventional models of collaboration and redefining centers and peripheries. Through their artistic practice, they critically examine current political, artistic, and ecological trends. The Shock Cooperative also actively engages young artists, focusing on community involvement. One of their notable projects is the Total Sale of Art, which questions market dynamics in post-socialist societies. Comprised of talented individuals such as Nikola Džafo, Silvia Dražić, and Željko Grulović, The Shock Cooperative firmly believes that only through cooperatives can the world be saved from disaster.
