## Description

Solarize Charlotte-Mecklenburg is a community-driven initiative focused on promoting the use of solar energy and clean technologies throughout the Mecklenburg County area. This innovative group-purchasing program is designed for residents, businesses, and nonprofits, allowing participants to save on the costs of solar energy systems, battery storage, and other renewable technologies by leveraging volume discounts. As part of a coalition that includes the City of Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, and other local municipalities, Solarize Charlotte-Mecklenburg aims to foster resilience and reduce energy costs for all participants.

The program features tiered pricing for solar installations, making it accessible to a wide range of customers. Renu Energy Solutions, a locally-owned solar provider established in 2010, serves as the program's main contractor, boasting extensive experience with over 5,000 solar projects completed. With a commitment to customer education and sustainable energy, the initiative empowers the community to embrace renewable energy solutions, thus contributing to a greener future for Charlotte-Mecklenburg.
