## Description

Soldiers Reunion Inc. organizes an annual patriotic celebration in Historic Downtown Newton, North Carolina, bringing Catawba County and surrounding communities together to honor veterans and military personnel from all wars and conflicts. Its mission is to preserve history and promote patriotism through a reunion parade and related events, while offering educational and enjoyable activities for the community. The weeklong program features a parade, car displays and cruising, pageants, concerts, a street dance, a pet event, a baby parade, and an evening of praise and community. Craft and food vendors also take part, adding to the family-friendly atmosphere. The organization supports community involvement through volunteer opportunities, sponsorships, vendor participation, and donations. Its website provides event schedules, rules, vendor and parade information, applications, announcements, photographs, and details about Catawba County veteran organizations. The 2026 reunion is scheduled for August 15–20, with the reunion pageant on August 8. Soldiers Reunion Inc. also offers email, phone, and text updates for people seeking event news.
