## Description

The Somenos Marsh Wildlife Society (SMWS) is a dedicated charitable society focused on conservation efforts in the S’amunu (Somenos) Watershed in Cowichan Valley, BC. With a rich biodiversity and serving as a crucial habitat for various species, including migratory waterfowl and salmon, SMWS works tirelessly to restore and enhance the watershed through projects like GreenStreams. Additionally, they manage the S'amunu/Somenos Conservation Area, an Important Bird and Biodiversity Area, with wildlife viewing facilities and educational messaging. By becoming a member, volunteering, or donating, you can actively support their vital work. Members provide essential funding and advocacy, while volunteers contribute their skills to stewardship programs. Donations, whether monetary or in-kind, are crucial for funding restoration efforts and maintaining wildlife viewing infrastructure. Join SMWS in their mission to protect this valuable ecosystem and support their educational and restoration initiatives.
