## Description

SOMVELA is the public-facing platform of the Valencian Community Sailing Federation (FVCV), which supports sailing and nautical activity across the region. It connects sailors, clubs, sailing schools, coaches and the wider community through information, services and opportunities to participate in the sport. Sailors can apply for individual federation licences, access member accounts and learn about licence benefits, while clubs and schools have dedicated online access and directories. The federation also publishes regatta calendars, rankings, race results and competition information spanning disciplines such as Optimist, ILCA, windsurfing, wingfoil, monotype and cruising. Its activities extend beyond competition to technical training, instructor qualifications and title recognition, school programmes, professional sports-sector information and sailing development initiatives. News, event coverage, photographs, notices and a magazine keep users informed about regional sailing and federation activity. The site also provides governance and institutional resources, including statutes, transparency information, election materials and disciplinary procedures. Through these services, SOMVELA helps coordinate the sailing community and makes it easier for people to find events, training, clubs and ways to get involved.
