## Description

Soonats’ooneh Community Health Centre, formerly Central Interior Native Health Society, is a community health organization in Prince George, British Columbia, serving Indigenous peoples on the ancestral and unceded territory of the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation. Its care primarily supports Dakelh and Sekani peoples and welcomes First Nations, Inuit and Métis clients, including Indigenous mothers, babies, children and youth.

The centre combines primary health care and specialist services with Indigenous approaches to health and wellness. Its offerings include prenatal and postnatal care, high-acuity support, cultural services, and support for people living with or at risk of HIV or hepatitis C. Community programs also include education, testing, events and harm-reduction services. A team of health professionals, cultural knowledge practitioners, peers and people with lived experience works to provide inclusive, trauma- and violence-responsive care.

Soonats’ooneh addresses the social and cultural factors that affect health, while responding to challenges including mental health needs, the unregulated drug supply and housing insecurity.
