## Description

SOREC, the Société Royale d’Encouragement du Cheval, was created in 2003 under the supervision of Morocco’s Ministry of Agriculture and Maritime Fisheries. Its mission is to support horse breeding, develop horse racing, and manage equestrian betting across Morocco. The organization works across the equine sector, including breeding and stud farms, racecourses, equestrian sport and leisure, Tbourida, and traditional equestrian arts.

SOREC also invests in training and professional development. Its Racing Academy prepares future jockeys and trainers, while the Marrakech Academy of Modern and Equestrian Arts trains performers and promotes disciplines such as dressage, vaulting, and free work. These programs also help preserve Morocco’s Barb and Arab-Barb horse heritage and traditional equestrian expertise.

Digital services extend SOREC’s offerings to horse owners, breeders, and racing fans. The FARAS app supports horse management and performance tracking; SOREC TV broadcasts races live; and E-SOREC and SOREC Jeux provide race information, predictions, and online betting services. SOREC also organizes events and shares news, career opportunities, and sector information.
