## Description

**SOS for Addictions** is dedicated to providing vital support and resources for individuals and families struggling with substance abuse. Founded by Kimberly Hinkel, a U.S. Navy veteran and social worker, the organization offers a comprehensive array of services aimed at fostering hope and healing within the community. SOS for Addictions connects clients with professional treatment options, including adolescent and adult counseling, drug testing, hospital detox services, and preventive resources.

Kimberly’s personal connection to the challenges of addiction enables her to empathize with families enduring its effects. Through public speaking engagements, she shares her insights on the trauma associated with addiction, particularly its impact on children. In addition to educational initiatives, SOS for Addictions promotes healing by collaborating with community coalitions and providing support for prevention efforts. Established in 2017, this organization continues to be a beacon of hope for those in recovery in Louisville and beyond.
