## Description

The Swiss OpenStreetMap Association (SOSM) is dedicated to promoting the values and objectives of the OpenStreetMap movement within Switzerland. Established to strengthen ties between the OpenStreetMap community, local authorities, and industry, SOSM plays a pivotal role in facilitating activities for OSM contributors while representing their interests in various organizations. Emphasizing a collaborative and bottom-up approach, SOSM provides structure when necessary yet remains unobtrusive.

The association offers a range of services and projects that include aerial imagery, map tile services, and the Swiss Open Addresses platform. Their efforts are aimed at enhancing the accessibility and usability of geospatial data across Switzerland. With a focus on community involvement, SOSM also organizes events such as mapper meetups and maintains supportive resources like the Swiss routing and uMap server.

Through these initiatives, the Swiss OpenStreetMap Association fosters a vibrant mapping community, encouraging individuals to participate in the collective creation and sharing of geographic information.
