## Description

Dominique Sosolic is a French printmaker whose official website presents an engraved body of work created from 1970 to 2018. After studying visual arts in Paris, he discovered printmaking at the École des Beaux-Arts and pursued a career combining artistic practice with teaching. In Strasbourg, he also led workshops at Estampe du Rhin, a community printmaking studio.

Sosolic’s work focuses on intaglio printmaking, using techniques including burin engraving, etching and aquatint. He has created approximately 200 engravings, as well as several paintings. His approach emphasizes the relationship between subject and technique, and explores a dialogue between feeling and thought.
