SOUL, which stands for Southsiders Organized for Unity and Liberation, is an independent grassroots brand that aims to address community issues on Chicago’s South Side and South Suburbs. Their mission is to create transformative change by advocating for affordable housing, access to healthy food, a clean environment, public transportation, a full employment economy, and living wages. They are dedicated to building a movement for social justice and equality, starting with the South Side and South Suburbs.

SOUL is a member organization of the BlackRoots Alliance, a powerful grassroots network that amplifies the voices of black-led organizations and individuals. Their inclusive and multi-generational membership consists of religious congregations, affordable housing groups, block clubs, students, and neighborhood groups. Through their work, SOUL strives to ensure that all people have the opportunity to thrive and have a say in the decisions that affect their lives, families, and communities.
