## Description

Sound Bioventures is a venture capital fund that specializes in investing in about-to-be clinical or clinical stage private companies in Europe and the USA, specifically focusing on the development of therapies in specialty therapeutics areas. As co-investors, they are known for being straight forward, transparent, long-term oriented, and always prioritizing what is best for the company. The team at Sound Bioventures includes experienced professionals such as Ester Sklarsky, Thomas Tan, Casper Breum, Johan Kördel, Bibhash Mukhopadhyay, and Philip Brainin, who bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to their investment decisions. The name Sound Bioventures is derived from the Scandinavian Öresund (SE) or Øresund (DK) region, which is also known as the Sound and is one of the world's busiest shipping lanes. This region, referred to as Medicon Valley, is renowned for its vibrant biotech industry. As the team expanded to include an American founder, their perspective and footprint grew to encompass an even larger water passage, the Atlantic Ocean. This expansion allows Sound Bioventures to offer an expanded global perspective and opportunities to their investors and portfolio companies.
