## Description

Sound Credit Union is a locally owned, member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative serving Washington, particularly the Puget Sound region. Founded in 1940 by 51 telephone workers, it has grown to serve more than 170,000 members, who each share ownership of the credit union. Sound focuses on accessible banking, personal service, community involvement, and helping members build financial well-being.

Its personal banking offerings include checking and savings accounts, certificates, credit cards, and loans for homes, vehicles, recreational purchases, education, and other needs. Members can manage their finances through online and mobile banking, make payments, send money with Zelle, and access financial education, counseling, workshops, insurance, investment services, and retirement planning.

For businesses, Sound provides checking and savings accounts, certificates, business credit cards, and financing options such as commercial real estate, auto, and small-business loans. Business services and resources support banking needs and financial planning. Sound also promotes community initiatives and events, and offers branches and ATMs across the region.
