## Description

Source of the Spring is a local news outlet that aims to fill the void left by the demise of the Gazette and the decrease in local coverage by The Washington Post. With a focus on Silver Spring and Takoma Park, they provide news, stories, and information about the communities and the issues that affect them. Their coverage area includes the regions served by the Silver Spring Regional Service Center, which spans from the beltway in the north to Rock Creek Park in the west, and from Four Corners in the east to the Washington D.C. Source of the Spring encourages news tips and information related to this area and welcomes anonymous submissions. Founded by David Lay, a resident of downtown Silver Spring, the team is committed to delivering informative and engaging content. Through their website, they also offer advertising opportunities for businesses to reach their audience.
