## Description

Sources is a Canadian information resource connecting journalists, writers, researchers, and other information seekers with expert sources, media spokespeople, and news and research materials. Its searchable, deep-indexed database helps media professionals find people and organizations with expertise on a wide range of subjects, while giving participating organizations a way to gain publicity and share their knowledge and perspectives.

The site offers news releases, communiqués, fact sheets, and backgrounders from Sources members, alongside articles, book reviews, and other resources for journalists, campaigners, and researchers. Its services include a comprehensive directory of Canadian print, broadcast, online, and digital media, as well as topic indexes and searchable listings of experts and information sources. Editorial sections cover journalism, the media industry, digital issues, government, publicity, education, health, and the environment. Additional resources include a bookshelf, a newsstand, media names and numbers, and links to alternative media and the Connexions library on grassroots social and environmental movements.
