## Description

Founded in 1905, South Cork Sailing Club (SCSC) has brought sailors together on the waters around Castlehaven, County Cork, for more than a century. The club’s focus is on sailing for fun, family and friendly competition, welcoming participants across a range of boat classes and experience levels. Its activities include seasonal championships, class racing, ocean races, single-handed events, novice races and all-comers competitions, with dedicated events for Mini and Opi boats, Lasers, Wayfarers and Ettes. The club also hosts cup races, including the Mahony Cup and Wallis Cup, and has held events in support of the RNLI. SCSC provides practical information for members and competitors, including sailing instructions, notices of race, boat and crew entry submissions, course details and race results. Its website also shares event photographs and videos, award presentations, historical results and records of previous winners. Membership and boat fees are listed for adults, cadets and different boat classes, supporting participation in the club’s local sailing programme.
