## Description

Southern Oregon Rocketry, NAR Section #793, is a hobby rocketry club serving the Rogue Valley, Northern California, and communities throughout Southern Oregon. The club welcomes people interested in building and flying model rockets, with a focus on making the hobby accessible to everyone. Its launch events give participants an opportunity to fly rockets and connect with fellow enthusiasts.

Launches are generally planned for the second Saturday of each month, weather permitting, with usual hours from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Start times may shift seasonally: winter events often begin an hour later to take advantage of warmer temperatures, while summer launches may start an hour earlier for cooler conditions. The schedule can also change to avoid conflicts with Oregon Rocketry’s high-power launches at Brothers.

Visitors and members can follow launch announcements through the club’s mailing list and website, which also provide information about the organization, launches, news, and rocketry resources.
