## Description

The Southern Sierra Partnership (SSP) is an alliance of conservation and business organizations working to protect lands, livelihoods and communities across a seven-million-acre region extending from the Southern San Joaquin Valley to the Sierra Nevada and Tehachapi Mountains. Since 2008, its members have combined conservation expertise and regional planning to support long-term environmental and economic resilience.

The partnership includes Sequoia Riverlands Trust, Audubon California, the Sierra Business Council, The Nature Conservancy and Tejon Ranch Conservancy. Together, they advance land protection, climate adaptation, sustainable development and land-use policy. Their collaborative work has helped protect hundreds of thousands of acres and connect foothill rangelands with farmland and riparian habitats.

SSP develops practical resources for conservation and public decision-making. Its publications include a nationally recognized, science-based framework for climate adaptation, an economic study on land conservation and compact growth, and research tools to guide renewable energy development toward areas with fewer conservation conflicts.
