South Florida Kiteboarding is the premier kiteboarding school in beautiful South Florida. Established in 2002, our mission is to provide safe and effective kiteboarding instruction to riders of all levels. Led by Mel 'KiteMermaid' Mejia, the first and only female kiteboarder with her own school in Florida, our team of certified instructors is dedicated to helping you learn at your own pace. At South Florida Kiteboarding, we prioritize your safety and ensure that you learn in a controlled and supportive environment. We use state-of-the-art kiteboarding equipment and innovative instruction methods, such as radio helmets and rescue dinghies, to enhance your learning experience. Our lessons take place in shallow water areas away from land, and we exclusively use bow style (SLE) kites known for their depower and safety features.
