## Description

Southland Fly Fishing Club is a community group for people interested in fly fishing and fly tying. It welcomes enthusiastic anglers and beginners to share knowledge, enjoy stories, learn new skills and take part in club activities. The club describes fly fishing as fun and invites people to join for a very low cost.

The club’s website provides information about membership, meetings, newsletters, fly-tying activities and a fly-fishing course. Its newsletter, Ripples, shares club updates and practical details, including reports from the president, lodge trips, demonstrations, casting days, subscriptions and opening-day events. A calendar outlines activities for the 2026–27 season, and a membership application form is available for prospective members.

Southland Fly Fishing Club also points visitors to Fish & Game resources. Through its shared learning and organised events, the club offers a welcoming way for people to develop their fishing and tying skills, connect with others who share the interest, and participate in local club life.
