NASA International Space Apps Challenge is an international hackathon that brings together coders, scientists, designers, storytellers, makers, technologists, and innovators from cities around the world. This event allows participants to collaborate and address real-world problems on Earth and in space by utilizing the free and open data provided by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and its Space Agency Partners. With the mission of inspiring collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking, Space Apps aims to encourage the growth and diversity of the next generation of scientists, engineers, and other professionals.

Since its establishment in 2012, Space Apps has engaged over 220,000 registrants from more than 185 countries and territories. During the two-day event, participants form teams and develop projects to solve challenges submitted by NASA experts. The projects are then judged by space agency experts, and winners are selected for Global Awards.

The Space Apps Challenge provides a platform for participants to explore open data, learn new skills, network with like-minded individuals, and contribute to solving real-world problems.
