## Description

Space Lab is a space-launch company founded in Stavanger, Norway, with a mission to provide Europe with cost-efficient, reliable access to space. The company designs, builds and operates reusable rockets launched from the sea, drawing on Norway’s offshore engineering, maritime logistics and industrial capabilities. Its sea-based approach is intended to offer flexible launch routes without relying on fixed launch pads.

Space Lab’s planned Draken rocket is designed to carry up to six tonnes to low Earth orbit. Its first stage is intended to be fully reusable, powered by nine Ragnarok engines using methane and liquid oxygen, and recovered after landing at sea. The launch system also includes a Kraken ballast module for autonomous deployment and fuelling. Space Lab is developing its engines and launch technology in Stavanger, with plans for qualification flights followed by commercial orbital launches.

The company offers dedicated and rideshare launch services for payloads, including satellites, and invites customers to share payload mass, destination and timing to receive a price estimate.
