## Description

Spaceport Cornwall is a pioneering brand with a clear mission: to provide a safe and responsible avenue for accessing space. By supporting small satellite launches, this ambitious initiative aims to connect individuals, businesses, and ideas. As space exploration grows in importance, Spaceport Cornwall is dedicated to ensuring that it becomes more accessible and inclusive for various users, such as governments, institutions, companies, and individuals. They recognize the increasing dependency on space-enabled services, including observing the Earth and monitoring environmental changes. What sets Spaceport Cornwall apart is their commitment to sustainability and responsibility. Rather than following traditional environmentally controversial practices, they prioritize the development of technologies that mitigate the environmental impact of launches. Spaceport Cornwall is a consortium consisting of Cornwall Council, Virgin Orbit, Goonhilly Earth Station, and the UK Space Agency. Through collaboration, they aim to revolutionize space access for the benefit of life on Earth. With the existing expertise and facilities in Cornwall, including Goonhilly Earth Station, the University of Exeter, and Truro and Penwith College, the region is already experiencing growth in the space sector. By fostering connectivity between air and space ports, research and business, and people and ideas, Spaceport Cornwall aims to create a sustainable and commercially-viable high-tech sector that drives innovation and inspires positive change in space exploration.
