## Description

Space Station 14 (SS14) is an open-source multiplayer role-playing game that reimagines the cult classic Space Station 13. Set aboard a space station where an ordinary shift can unravel into disaster, the game combines detailed systems, collaborative roleplay, and unpredictable player-driven stories. Players create custom characters and take on a wide range of crew and enemy jobs, from engineer and captain to traitor, each with distinct gear and responsibilities. They can manage inventories, operate the reactor, treat injuries, serve drinks, or tackle countless other station duties as events unfold.

Asteroid damage, sabotage, incompetence, and conflict can turn routine work into tense choices and shifting alliances. Because players shape the station’s fate, every round offers a different mix of challenges and interactions. SS14 is under active development, and its source code is freely available for anyone to explore or contribute to. The project provides a launcher for downloading the game and connecting to online servers, alongside community resources such as news, updates, guides, forums, and discussion channels.
