## Description

SPARCS is a research-oriented computer systems programming association and autonomous development group composed of computer enthusiasts at KAIST. Operating under the KAIST Undergraduate Student Council, SPARCS is dedicated to providing services that benefit their peers. With a team of over 50 developers and designers, they create and manage various projects to help members grow and develop their skills. They offer a range of seminars and study groups aimed at enhancing members' knowledge and expertise. These include introductory seminars for newcomers, as well as wheel seminars that cover topics related to managing overall development infrastructure. Members with similar interests also organize and run their own seminars and study groups. Regular meetings and general assemblies take place every Monday at 9 PM in the club room located on the 1st floor of the KAIST General Education Building (N11). These meetings provide opportunities for members to discuss project progress and hold evaluations for new members' promotions. They also serve as a platform for important discussions regarding the organization. SPARCS actively seeks partnerships and collaborations with other companies and external development organizations. They also host and participate in hackathons, both nationally and internationally. In addition to their technical activities, SPARCS fosters a sense of camaraderie among members through various social events such as strawberry parties, recreational trips, and internal hackathons. They also organize events like homecomings, enabling members to connect with SPARCS alumni. Regular gatherings for meals and workshops are organized by project members. Anyone can apply to join SPARCS, regardless of their academic year, as long as they are actively involved for a minimum of four semesters before graduating. They recruit developers and designers every spring and fall semester. After becoming a regular member, individuals can take breaks from the club if needed. To learn more about SPARCS and their projects, you can visit their official website or check their presence on GitHub, Instagram, and Facebook. Some of the services provided by SPARCS include Geoul, Ara, OTL, Zabo Taxi, and SSO. They also have internal services like Biseo, Memvers, and Wiki. SPARCS aims to provide a platform for computer enthusiasts to collaborate, learn, and grow together, making a significant impact in the field of computer systems research and development.
