Speak! for the Unspoken is a small foster-based pet rescue group located in Columbus, Ohio. As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, their mission is to save dogs with special needs and provide them with their best lives. They specialize in rescuing animals with special needs, particularly double merle dogs that are born with vision and/or hearing deficits due to irresponsible breeding practices. Despite their impairments, Speak! believes that special needs dogs can lead happy and healthy lives. They actively work to educate the public about the capabilities of these dogs and advocate for responsible breeding practices to prevent such impairments. In addition to their focus on special needs dogs, they also assist other animals outside of the special needs category. As a foster-based rescue, all the animals in their program are living in loving homes, receiving the care and attention they need. By fostering and rescuing these special dogs, Speak! ensures that they can live a fulfilling life regardless of their impairments. With the support of their dedicated fosters and volunteers, Speak! for the Unspoken is making a difference in the world and providing a voice for the voiceless.
