## Description

Speaking of Research (SR) is an international advocacy group that provides accurate information about the importance of animal research in the biomedical, behavioral, and life sciences. They are dedicated to challenging misrepresentations about animal research and fostering public understanding of its significance. Through participating in talks, debates, and utilizing web-based communication tools, SR aims to organize a network that provides encouragement, information, and support to all who care about scientific progress. Run by a committee of individuals who believe in the importance of animal research, Speaking of Research aims to improve public understanding and engagement with research involving nonhuman animals. Their news blog serves as an accessible resource for students and the public, offering accurate information about how animal research is conducted, its vital role in generating knowledge, and its contribution to scientific advances. By providing a dynamic forum for discussion and sharing news, Speaking of Research hopes to bridge the gap in public understanding of animal research and encourage scientific community involvement in outreach and education efforts.
