## Description

Special Children’s Trust Uganda is a registered NGO and hybrid social enterprise working to build an inclusive ecosystem where children with disabilities can reach their full potential. The Trust supports children and their families while strengthening the organizations and professionals that provide care, education, and other essential services. Its work includes mobilizing funds and in-kind resources such as food, learning materials, medical supplies, and assistive aids. It also promotes access to quality disability prevention and management services through model centres, mentorship, shared practices, and connections between parents and service providers.

The organization offers training, mentorship, and internships for students, professionals, and partner organizations. Through its Special Children’s Forum, it brings together individuals and groups to develop safer, more inclusive communities. Advocacy and awareness campaigns address families, communities, and government, aiming to challenge misconceptions and encourage equitable policies and safe practices. The Trust works directly with Mukisa Foundation, Dawn Children’s Centre, Berakhah Medical Centre, and its wider network.
