## Description

Special Needs Community CIC is a parent-led family support organisation serving families of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across London and surrounding areas. Through the London SEND Directory, it brings together information to help families find local services, guidance and community support. The directory links users to borough SEND Local Offers and covers topics including education, Education, Health and Care plans, SEN support, special schools, health, social care, short breaks, inclusive play, specialist technology and equipment, and financial or legal advice. It also signposts support for parents and carers, professionals, employment, and local SEND information, with listings organised by area across London. Alongside its directory, the organisation offers parents emotional support and a sounding board, and invites families to join its community for updates. Its wider activities include a Community Champions Network, a Professionals Network, events, newsletters and publications. Special Needs Community also welcomes organisations to submit directory listings and encourages users to report information that may be inaccurate, helping keep resources useful and up to date.
