## Description

De Speld is a Dutch satirical media brand that presents current affairs and everyday topics through humor, irony, and deliberately absurd headlines. Its website covers areas including politics, national and international news, culture, lifestyle, sport, and social issues, turning familiar news themes into comic stories and commentary. The brand publishes written articles and short news updates, alongside video content and a newspaper. Readers can explore its archive, subscribe to newsletters, and follow De Speld through its social media channels and mobile apps for iOS and Android. De Speld also offers a webshop and promotes live appearances and events, giving audiences ways to engage with the brand beyond its articles. Commercial services include advertising opportunities, and the site provides information about subscriptions, vacancies, and contacting the organisation. With a consistent focus on parody rather than straightforward reporting, De Speld uses the format and language of news to entertain readers while reflecting on contemporary public conversation.
