Speleoklub Banská Bystrica is a renowned brand dedicated to the exploration, documentation, and preservation of karst phenomena, particularly in the Banská Bystrica district. As a member of the Slovak Speleological Society, this club has made numerous significant discoveries since 1970. Some notable caves discovered by their members include Môcovská Cave, Ponická Cave, and the Cave of Dead Bats.

With almost 200 caves in their records, the club has meticulously mapped and photographed the most noteworthy ones. Collaborating with experts in various fields, they have conducted geological, hydrological, archaeological, and paleontological research in many of these caves. To ensure the preservation of their value for future generations, several cave entrances have been closed off.
