## Description

Sphynx Tennis Club is a community-focused tennis club in Southport, Merseyside, welcoming adult and junior players since 1920. Located near KGV Sixth Form College, it offers opportunities for beginners, social players and those pursuing competitive or performance tennis. Facilities include six blue and green all-weather Tiger Turf courts, built in 2022 and equipped with floodlighting for year-round daytime and evening play, as well as a modern clubhouse for social events and match days.

The club provides adult and junior membership, court bookings, leagues and tournaments, and coaching through the Chris Parkes Tennis Academy. Activities include adult and junior social nights, Rusty Racquets, Cardio Fitness Tennis, senior and junior performance training, and dedicated men’s and women’s doubles sessions. Sphynx fields champion teams and reports 11 Southport and District League Division 1 titles. With a range of ways to learn, practise, compete and connect, the club aims to make tennis accessible and enjoyable for players of different ages and ability levels. Membership options are available for adults and juniors.
