## Description

Spirála Ostrava is a nonprofit organization in the Moravian-Silesian region of the Czech Republic that supports people living with mental illness or disabilities. Its mission is to help them participate more fully in everyday life and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health conditions. The organization combines social support with opportunities to develop skills, confidence and work experience. Its social rehabilitation service and Recovery Club Nádech provide support for people on their recovery journeys, while preventive programs introduce mental health topics in schools. Through its supported employment activities, Spirála offers work in catering, sewing, garden maintenance and cleaning services. These services create practical employment opportunities while also serving customers and the wider community. The organization shares information about mental health, client stories and projects, and offers space rentals and equipment loans. It has also established CareJam, an educational initiative focused on mental health, nonprofit management and professional development, as well as digitalization and artificial intelligence. Spirála Ostrava’s work is guided by values including support, respect, self-realization, growth and opportunity.
