## Description

The Italian Psychoanalytic Society (Società Psicoanalitica Italiana, or SPI), presented through its Spiweb site, is an organization of professionals working in psychoanalysis and related clinical fields. Its members include medical doctors, psychiatrists, child and adolescent neuropsychiatrists, psychologists, and psychotherapists. The Society also provides professional education through the Istituto Nazionale del Training, its national training institute, which is recognized by Italy’s Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (MIUR). This training institution is a central part of SPI’s work, supporting education in psychoanalysis for qualified practitioners. Spiweb serves as the Society’s online presence, sharing information about the organization and its activities. The available site text identifies the Society’s professional membership and training provision, but does not specify particular clinical services, products, or treatment programs. Overall, SPI brings together clinicians from different professional backgrounds under a shared focus on psychoanalysis, while its recognized training institute provides a formal route for advanced professional formation in the field.
