## Description

**Brand Description: SPLASH (Social Policy Archive for SHARE)**

SPLASH is an innovative research initiative that supports policy-oriented research by providing crucial contextual data on welfare states across Europe. Developed and maintained by the Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE), SPLASH enhances analytical potential through its structured offerings in two main sections: Data and Policy.

The Data section delivers quantitative indicators across vital domains, including education, family and children, health, migration, living conditions, work and retirement, as well as macroeconomic and demographic indicators. Notably, SPLASH has incorporated data related to the COVID-19 pandemic, analyzing various indicators that evaluate the impacts of the health crisis on employment and societal responses.

Within the Policy section, SPLASH serves as a repository of qualitative data highlighting critical changes in social policies across 19 European countries up to 2016. By integrating macro and micro-level data, SPLASH provides researchers with comprehensive insights needed for informed policymaking, ultimately enriching the understanding of social dynamics in Europe.
