SplatSpace, previously known as Durham Makerspace, is an exciting and dynamic multidisciplinary workshop and hackerspace situated in downtown Durham. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, member-driven organization, we welcome crafters, engineers, artists, programmers, and all enthusiasts who love making things. Our aim is to foster a collaborative community where innovation and creativity flourish.

At SplatSpace, our members gain access to a diverse range of resources and tools, including wood and metal shops, laser cutters, 3D printers, electronics and soldering stations, vinyl cutters, large format printers, hand tools, and a variety of crafting materials. We also boast a community of knowledgeable and passionate makers who are always ready to share their expertise. Although we currently hold online meetings twice a month due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, we look forward to resuming our weekly in-person meetings, classes, events, and get-togethers as soon as it is safe to do so.

As a community of hackers and makers, we strongly believe in reaching out to each other and the broader community to fuel our shared passion for art, technology, and innovation. By doing so, SplatSpace members contribute to Durham's artistic and technical vibrancy, making a positive impact on the entire Triangle area.
