## Description

The Society for the Preservation of Natural History Collections (SPNHC) is an organization dedicated to supporting the care, preservation, and accessibility of natural history collections. It brings together members and provides opportunities to connect through meetings, publications, online resources, and community activities. SPNHC offers a member directory, awards and grants, and information about its history and governance. Its resources include the SPNHC Wiki, a Collection Forum, reference books, and the SPNHC Connection newsletter. The society also shares news and job listings, including a board for relevant employment opportunities, and invites people to get involved through membership, donations, and affiliations. SPNHC organizes events and meetings, including joint meetings such as Living Data 2027, and publishes calls for sessions and statements on issues affecting collections, including closures and collections at risk. Through these services, the organization supports collaboration and knowledge-sharing among people concerned with natural history collections. Members can access profile tools and the directory, while the website also provides contact information, privacy details, and guidance for joining or renewing.
