## Description

The Sociedade Portuguesa de Obstetrícia e Medicina Materno-Fetal (SPOMMF) is a Portuguese professional society focused on obstetrics and maternal-fetal medicine. It connects healthcare professionals and supports the development and sharing of knowledge in these fields through scientific resources, events, research initiatives and professional information. Its website offers public guidance for pregnant people alongside a dedicated area for members and clinicians, including protocols and guidelines, consent forms and informational leaflets, and links to scientific societies and online journals.

SPOMMF organizes meetings and congresses, publicizes relevant events, and shares news and suggested scientific reading. It also supports clinical research through grants for work in obstetrics and maternal-fetal medicine, and offers funding to help doctors in specialist training participate in professional activities. The society provides information about membership, including an admission form, and communicates updates such as new issues of the Acta Obstétrica e Ginecológica Portuguesa. Through these resources and activities, SPOMMF serves both its professional community and the wider public seeking pregnancy-related information.
