## Description

Spooky Squid Games, established in late 2008 and located in Toronto, Canada, is an indie game studio known for its unique blend of charming pixel art and dark themes. Founded by pixel artist Miguel Sternberg and programmer Andrij Pilkiw, the studio first gained recognition with their critically acclaimed commercial game, *They Bleed Pixels*, released in 2012 as a “lo-fi gothic” platformer available on Steam.

Over the years, Spooky Squid has continued to innovate, releasing several well-received free games and their latest project, *Russian Subway Dogs*.
