## Description

The Security Personnel Party of South Africa (SPPSA) is a political party founded by people working to protect South African streets, homes and businesses, alongside citizens seeking safer communities, meaningful employment and accountable leadership. Its central aim is to turn community safety into community prosperity, giving security personnel a stronger role in decisions about the country’s future.

SPPSA’s plan focuses on five priorities: safer communities, dignified work, a 24-hour economy, industrialisation and clean government. It proposes a formal police reserve in which trained, vetted security officers work alongside SAPS, supported by state stipends. The party also advocates fair wages and professional recognition for security workers, longer operating hours to support jobs, and economic development that builds local industry. Its governance principles include zero tolerance for corruption, merit-based leadership and public accountability for service delivery.

SPPSA describes itself as a member-funded political party, not a trade union, and says it accepts no donations or sponsorships. Its Virtual Cells are designed to let people participate by phone.
