## Description

The Society for Psychical Research (SPR) is a scholarly organisation founded in 1882 to investigate human experiences that challenge contemporary scientific models. It supports research into psychical and related subjects through current projects, research resources, funding information and opportunities for public involvement. The Society also provides reference materials, including the Psi Encyclopedia, a free resource, Psi Open Data, a glossary and a database of research articles.

SPR members and the wider public can explore its publications and archives, including the Journal of the Society for Psychical Research, the Magazine of the SPR, the Paranormal Review and historical research catalogues. The Society offers access to library holdings in London and links to an online library, with free access to SPR content for members. Its programme includes online talks, conferences and other events, with recordings available in audio and video formats. Visitors can also find book reviews, notices of new books, investigation guides and a way to report an experience.
