## Description

Språklärarnas riksförbund is a Swedish association for language teachers, supporting educators and promoting the teaching and learning of languages. It brings together teachers through national and local activities, professional resources, publications, and opportunities to influence teaching methods and learning materials. The association provides information and links for language educators, with subject-focused resources covering English, German, French, Spanish, and mother-tongue education. Its website features teaching materials, lecture resources, webinars, and events such as language inspiration days and specialist teacher days. Members can access Lingua, the association’s magazine, which includes classroom ideas, summaries of new research, perspectives on the languages and cultures taught in schools, and updates on member activities. The association also shares its Linguapodden podcast and supports local branches across several Swedish regions. It promotes wider discussion of language education, including advocacy for a national language strategy, and participates in Swedish and international language-teacher networks. Membership offers access to local events and professional resources, along with a way for teachers to contribute to the development of language education in Sweden.
