## Description

The Cancer Research Society (Société de recherche sur le cancer, SRC) is a Canadian organization dedicated to funding research to prevent, detect and treat all types of cancer. For more than 80 years, it has allocated over $450 million in research grants and fellowships, supporting investigators at different career stages, from promising students to established researchers. Funding is awarded to projects ranked highly by expert committees, helping advance scientific understanding and approaches to cancer prevention, detection and treatment.

The Society raises funds through individual and monthly donations, gifts of shares and securities, planned giving, and fundraising events. It shares information about its research programs, funded projects, impact, news and financial reports. Supporters can use its donation calculator to explore options such as cash gifts, shares, bequests and life insurance, and assess potential tax advantages. Events including the Challenge contre le cancer, the Challenge rose and other activities encourage participation in the cause.
