The Singapore Recreation Club (SRC) is a prestigious brand with a rich history dating back to its founding in 1883. Initially established by a group of thirty Eurasian men, the Club officially came into existence on July 1 of that year. Starting out in a building on Waterloo Street, it quickly grew in prominence and influence. In 1884, a Pavilion was constructed on the Club's allocated site at the iconic Padang. Over the years, the Club expanded its facilities, with the construction of a Clubhouse in 1905 and the addition of two wings in 1931.
