## Description

The Scottish Six Days Trial (SSDT) is a renowned motorcycle event steeped in rich history and tradition, established in 1911 by the Edinburgh & District Motor Club. This iconic trial showcases the best of observed motorcycle trials, emphasizing skill, balance, and concentration over speed, as competitors navigate challenging terrains including steep gullies and slippery rock steps. Held annually from the first Monday in May, the SSDT spans six days, covering up to 100 miles each day across the breathtaking Scottish Highlands, with Fort William serving as the main hub for riders and spectators.

In addition to the SSDT, the event features the Pre '65 trial, which takes place on the weekend prior in Kinlochleven. Enthusiasts are drawn to the thrilling atmosphere of the SSDT paddock, the ceremonial bike weigh-in, and the traditional parade along Fort William’s High Street. Beyond motorcycle trials, visitors can explore the stunning natural scenery and local attractions, making the SSDT a true celebration of motorcycling and Highland culture.
