## Description

Silkeborg Svømmeklub (SSK) is a community sports club founded in 1936 and now has around 2,000 active members, making it one of Silkeborg’s largest sports clubs. Based in the Danish city, the club offers swimming activities for a broad range of ages and abilities, from babies and toddlers to children, teenagers and adults. Its programs include beginner and advanced swimming lessons, crawl courses, open-water swimming, aquafitness, water polo, artistic swimming and diving. For young swimmers seeking a competitive pathway, SSK runs several Swim Team groups and a competition department, alongside Masters swimming for adults aged 25 and over. The club also organises events such as Aqua Disco sessions for families and school-age children, and provides information about training, competitions, camps and club activities. Lessons currently take place at Nordvestbadet while Silkeborg Højskole’s swimming pool is being renovated. Members can access club news and registration information online, and purchase club clothing through its shop. SSK’s programs support participation in swimming and aquatic sports across the local community.
